Albert Morot

Domaine Albert Morot is one the leading Côte De Beaune properties. It was established by Albert Morot in 1820 and remains family owned and run. Until recently the domaine was run by Françoise Chopin, great granddaughter of the original Albert Morot. It is now run by Geoffroy Choppin de Janvry. The Domaine consists of just under 7 hectares of vineyards split between seven Beaune premier cru vineyards; Les Teurons, Les Gréves, Les Toussaints, Les Bressandes, Les Cent Vignes, Les Marconnets and La Bataillére.

Geoffroy Choppin de Janvry aims to maintain the traditional spirit of the domaine whilst being open to new techniques. The vines have an average age of 50 years and produce grapes and wines with different characters. His constant quest to maintain exceptional quality of his wine has led him to dabble in organic horticulture, and such trials are encouraging him to convert.
